Закон о банкротстве 1986 г
Британский закон, определяющий процедуру рассмотрения вопросов, связанных с банкротством компаний. Существует несколько вариантов выхода из ситуации: а) добровольная договоренность между компанией и ее кредиторами о возможности сокращения или отсрочки долга. Если после этого компания продолжает терпеть убытки, она б) может обратиться в суд с просьбой назначить администратора-распорядителя (administrator), который помог бы реорганизовать компанию и восстановить ее репутацию. Если и эта мера не приносит желаемых результатов, в) компания передается в Управление имуществом несостоятельных должников, которое продает часть активов компании, чтобы расплатиться с кредиторами. Наконец, когда складывается критическая ситуация, г) компания ликвидируется, оставшаяся часть имущества распродается, а выручка от продажи распределяется между кредиторами.Новый англо-русский словарь-справочник.
